During your session, you’ll experience a comprehensive assessment, therapeutic treatment, and receive information on how you can empower your body to maintain an optimal state.
Our massage therapists are fully equipped to evaluate individual health needs and to provide both active and passive manual care. The Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) will not only treat your symptoms, they will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan in order to target your needs. Our therapists utilize a variety of techniques that are best suited for the individual. Our RMTs are registered with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia and are also members of the Massage Therapists Association of British Columbia.
Yes, our therapists are licensed physiotherapists, chiropractors, and registered massage therapists and we bill directly to most major health insurance providers. Please check with your insurance provider to see if a doctor’s referral letter is required before you book your session.
Although it depends largely on individual pain tolerance, generally there is some discomfort during the session. Most clients describe this discomfort as “good/helpful” discomfort as they find relief immediately after. This comfort may be necessary to release muscle tension to facilitate long-lasting results. However, we believe that the client is always in control of their care, so at any point should things be too uncomfortable, please let your therapist know and they can adjust the treatment/pressure.
Our clinicians are engaged in continuous learning and growth, and as such, their ability to provide a larger range of techniques is greater. Some of the various techniques include relaxation techniques, myofascial release, pregnancy massage, hot stone therapy, as well as Fascial Stretch Therapy.
We believe that managing your health should be transparent, and so should our rates. To provide the highest quality of care and to reduce any extra fees for “additional” add-ons, we’ve curated our rates to reflect that.
