Chiropractic treatment provided will incorporate the use of manipulative joint care to assist with recovery. During your session, you’ll experience a comprehensive assessment, therapeutic treatment, and receive information on how you can empower your body to maintain an optimal state.
Treatment methods are natural and conservative to help the body regain balance and function. Our chiropractors not only look at the symptoms you are experiencing, but will work hard to address the cause.
During your visit, the chiropractor will take a thorough and comprehensive history and physical exam. We utilize range of motion, orthopedic and neurological tests, palpation, and functional movement assessments to help diagnose your complaint. We will work with you to identify the dysfunctional tissues and pathology, and provide you with a treatment plan. If you require imaging studies such as X-ray, MRI, or CT, we will communicate with your family doctor so you get the studies you need.
At Trifecta Rehab, we assess whole body movement patterns because the human body is a well-orchestrated system and no parts work in isolation. We provide joint manipulation and soft tissue therapies, educate patients about pain and their body, and give specific exercise and advice to support recovery and prevent injury in the future.
When an adjustment (or manipulation) is performed during chiropractic treatment, a release of gas may occur from within the joint space. This gas often accumulates in joints, and when the gas is released it creates an audible “pop”. This “pop” is the same pop that many hear when they “crack” their knuckles. This release of gas is associated with very minimal, if any discomfort.
Yes, our therapists are licensed physiotherapists, chiropractors, and registered massage therapists and we bill directly to most major health insurance providers. Please check with your insurance provider to see if a doctor’s referral letter is required before you book your session.
Chiropractic is widely recognized as one of the safest nondrug, noninvasive forms of health care available for the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal complaints. Although chiropractic has an excellent safety record, no health treatment is completely free of potential adverse effects. The risks associated with chiropractic, however, are very small. Many patients feel immediate relief following chiropractic treatment, but some may experience mild soreness, stiffness or aching, just as they do after some forms of exercise. Current research shows that minor discomfort or soreness following spinal manipulation typically fades within 24 hours.*
Neck pain and some types of headaches are treated through precise cervical manipulation. Cervical manipulation, often called a neck adjustment, works to improve joint mobility in the neck, restoring range of motion and reducing muscle spasm, which helps relieve pressure and tension. Neck manipulation, when performed by a skilled and well educated professional such as a doctor of chiropractic, is a remarkably safe procedure.*
